And behold the air was filled With the rushing and glistening Wings of angels who took the Stones of the church and carried them over the water. As they did so the night winds bore back the chant at the onlookers

Refreshments afterwards

**Further to government guidelines updated on Monday 19 July, our congregation no longer need to wear a face mask in the church. Communion may now be taken in both kinds in the customary manner with a shared cup.  Members of the congregation will be allowed to sing hymns and the Peace may be shared with touch.

**Though restrictions have been lifted, members of the congregation should continue to act in a way in which they feel comfortable. If you would prefer not to share the chalice or peace with touch, please let the churchwardens or Fr Owen know.

PARISH MAGAZINE BACK IN PRINT!

The print version of our parish magazine has been sorely missed by many in the parish over the last year, but we have managed to keep it going online. The online version will continue, but the good news is that starting in October 2021 we will begin producing printed copies once again.

Our new look magazine, will now be professionally printed in colour and arrive at your doorstep by post.
Bursting with information and articles, it promises to keep you in touch and up to date with all that is taking place in and around our parishes.

The annual subscription of £18.00 for 12 issues, posted to your home, is really good value and we are sure you will want to subscribe. If you wish to do so, we ask that you please fill in the form below and return it to our treasurer, whose details are at the bottom of this letter.

ST MARY'S PAROCHIAL PARISH COUNCIL (PCC)

We are looking to welcome new members to join the PCC. The PCC comprises of the Rector, churchwardens and representatives of the laity. The role is not very time consuming with only four meetings a year (in the early evening). The council is responsible for the financial affairs of the parish Church and the maintenance of its assets. It also assists the clergy in the management of church affairs in the parish, and promoting the mission of the church. Please contact Liz Turgoose on 01424 882657 or Zoe Wilmoth 01797 227745 if you are interested in joining.
