4Charities would like to thank everyone who baked cakes, made sandwiches and produced a great assortment of treats for the Summer Tea on 13th August and to all those who came and supported us on a very warm afternoon and who gave so generously.

We value this support hugely and it enabled us to raise just over £450 with every penny being distributed to the four overseas charities that the group support.

£25 will provide breakfast for the entire school for deaf children in Tanzania and for just £10 Sightsavers can provide a simple antibiotic treatment to protect 50 families from river blindness.

A little goes a long way.

The next event will be our popular Soup and Scrabble which will be held on Friday 2nd September in the Udimore Community Hall starting at 12 noon.

Everyone is very welcome to come and enjoy a bowl of soup, one hour of Scrabble followed by tea and biscuits. No previous experience is needed!

We hope to see you then.

Again many thanks,

The 4Charities Team
